This game is a gem! Everyone loves Play-doh and making monsters, everyone loves fighting with Monsters, this game gives you both. There is a lot of strategy when choosing monsters and how you move and field them. This was an instant back when I saw it on Kickstarter and I will back any and all expansions from here on out.

Got this just before Christmas and went all in on all the series one expansions and I am glad I did. My kids love it and it is fun for me to join in too. Great family game and for the wargamers out there a great introduction to miniatures games. It is light enough for kids to learn but enough depth to make for a satisfying experience for experienced gamers as well. Looking forward to see how this game continues to develop.

My 8 year old son and I just got to play for the first time, and there will definitely be many more playthroughs! Very straightforward play once you get going, and the mashing adds a great novel aspect. My son also had a lot of fun making the monsters. We can't wait for the expansions to get back in stock to continue collecting and battling!

It was excellent! My seven year old loved it. He needed our help to set up the first time but was playing without direction after the first two turns. This is a great gateway to other more complex games like Warhammer. The gameplay was fun and competitive.

My wife is not into wargaming, and minimally into board gaming. We played our first game of necromolds tonight, and had an absolute blast! It's quick, simple, but with surprising depth, especially with the optional advanced rules. There's evident love that goes into every little bit of it. I love that I can use the molds to make minis for blood bowl or ttrpgs as well!

Absolutely loving Necromolds, we've been playing daily. Happy we got a copy before it sold out. Located in Canada and ordering over invoice was a breeze and Clint answered all my questions in terms of what to buy.

I got the main Battle Pack for my 10 year old son, as a Christmas present. I was told about the game from a friend that is into tabletop war games. Neither my son nor myself has ever played this type of game, but I can say we both immensely enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good game that you and your child can bond over. My fiance and I are in our late 20's. He is a big fan of Age of Sigmar and other table top war games. I am dyslexic and struggle with a lot of the complicated rules and mental math required by most ttwg, so I surprised him with this for Christmas and we had a blast! (I did have to play with gloves because it would seem I am allergic to the Spell Clay. Thankfully other clays are compatible!)

I played a 4 player game and it was great! We divided up the books into two groups and had at it. It wasn't as chaotic as I thought it would have been with four players. There were some pretty great laugh out moments when a small monster was able to defeat a hefty monster. I played with 4 adults and there were no complaints.

This game is something special. It is a great way for kids and adults to dip their toes into tabletop war gaming at a reasonable price. The rules are simple but very flexible for you to come up with all kinds of different game variations and who doesn’t like playing with play dough. There really isn’t a better beginner friendly miniature war game/board game that I’ve found.

I was surprised to see how balanced and complex this game is. I got it for my younger brother knowing it would be a great game for kids, but the rules and gameplay was really fun for me, as well.
The game also clearly lays out various difficulty levels which I think will lend well to endless replayability. On the note of replayability, the options for expansions seem to open up a lot of possibilities for radically changing gameplay.
If it's not already clear, despite getting this game for my younger brother, I may be the one who enjoys the game more!

Played for the first time last night with my 7 yr old. We both LOVED the game. Played the std rules and he tracked pretty well. Well enough to smash me! Good round/turn structure, excellent pacing, loved the command slot options. Instruction book is clear with good examples to guide game play. Watching the YouTube play through video gave additional confidence but the instructions were plenty clear on their own. You should update the play through video as the kickstarted dice don’t match the final product - that’s the only (minor) issue I came up with. Excellent game, folks!

Got this to play with my son. I'm not a big war gamer and I thought this would be a great way to get me and my 7-year-old into the mix. It was a little overwhelming for him, but we plan to try again later. Overall I love the presentation and quality of everything. We got all the series 1 stuff and it doesn't *quite* fit into the standard box, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Necromolds is a fun game for kids or grown-up kids. Its design is extremely tactile. Not only do you enjoy molding and smashing the monsters, but game rules also rely on tactile devices. For example, the game comes with a distance measuring tool. If you can touch a space with the tool from your monster, it can move there. If you can draw a straight line of sight to another monster with the tool, you can shoot it. It's that simple. This is truly elegant game design.

I played this with my friends, where we were all in our 30s...and we all had the "transport me back to when I was 6 years old on the couch" experience. Backed the game before it came out. I had ordered the box set and 2 expansions. Really happy that with a little planning I can fit everything (the whole core set plus both expansions) just in the core box. So I only need to carry that with me. Anyone who is a board game veteran will know that is a BIG selling point.
Onto the game itself. I just got to play it the first time with my five year old nephew. All it took was a little guidance on assigning commands and moving with the measuring tool (understandable). Otherwise he caught on quickly. Had a blast playing it with him. The rules at a basic level are easy enough for both young and new players to understand. And any veterans of table top wargames will find the advanced rules to be well thought out and balanced. There's even a section in the book showing house rules that people made during testing. It makes this game a blast for new players and veterans of table top wargames. I'd even say it's a great introduction to wargames.
If you are debating on buying it just buy it. It is up there as one of the best board games I have purchased over the years. Once the other two expansions come back in stock in the summer time I am buying them immediately.
